Meet Myranda Vaugh, an attorney and Team Lead at Daniel Stark.
Born in Rolla, Missouri, Myranda moved with her family to a picturesque and tightly-knit community in Arkansas at the age of four. She grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ouachita Mountains, spending her childhood immersed in outdoor adventures and quality family time.
Myranda’s upbringing in a small, secluded town greatly shaped her character. With three older siblings, she developed a strong sense of resilience and creativity, often finding joy in building forts in the woods or playing on their 60-acre property. Sports quickly became a central part of her life, with volleyball becoming her true passion. Her drive for excellence in the sport carried her through high school and led her to play in college before an injury cut her athletic career short.
Myranda attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, earning her degree in political science. It was at Henderson where she met her husband, Tadarious Hawkins, a talented baseball player turned law student. For Myranda, her love of government and an innate interest in justice guided her decision to pursue a career in law, leading her to the prestigious William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Law school proved to be one of the most challenging periods of Myranda’s life. Coming from an environment where academics had always come easily, she was met with the rigorous demands of legal studies coupled with deep personal loss—the sudden passing of her grandfather during her first year. Despite this, Myranda persevered, finding strength in her determination to succeed and her belief in the meaningful change she could bring to others through her career.
Myranda’s early internships included positions in personal injury, bankruptcy, and employment law, each adding to her understanding of the legal world. While personal injury law didn’t initially resonate with her, a clerkship with Rainwater, Holt, and Sexton changed her perspective. The empathy and justice required to support clients who were facing life-altering challenges called to her, laying the foundation for her career.
After graduating from law school, Myranda joined Daniel Stark and relocated to Bryan, TX, in 2018, where she successfully passed the bar shortly after. Her role has allowed her to connect deeply with clients in some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Myranda thrives on being hands-on with the people she serves, listening empathetically to their concerns and fighting tirelessly to ensure they are heard, valued, and advocated for.
Myranda’s ability to build trust with her clients stems from her own experiences growing up in a family that prioritized hard work and community, as well as her understanding of the ripple effects that come with life’s unexpected challenges.
At Daniel Stark, Myranda has quickly risen as a leader, becoming the youngest team captain in the firm. She values the firm’s culture, which focuses on cultivating talent and creating opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Myranda’s dedication to her clients and her team exemplifies Daniel Stark’s core purpose.
Among the many influential figures in Myranda Vaughn’s life, her husband, Tadarious, stands out as the driving force behind her personal and professional growth. Their bond goes beyond the traditional love and support of a partner; Tadarious has continuously challenged and inspired Myranda to become the best version of herself. His feedback, even when critical, has been instrumental in her development, pushing her to overcome obstacles and strive for excellence.
Tadarious has been a pillar of strength, grounding Myranda in times of uncertainty and offering a fresh perspective on various aspects of life. His genuine care and unwavering support have fostered an environment where Myranda can embrace growth, learn from different perspectives, and constantly improve. Their journey together, which began when they were just 18, has been marked by mutual support, constant challenges, and unwavering love.
Outside of her professional achievements, she and Tadarious have built a strong foundation together. They are proud parents to their daughter Penelope and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child.
Myranda also enjoys spending time thrifting and curating visually inspiring spaces, as well as staying active with sand volleyball and outdoor walks. She holds a deep appreciation for Arkansas’ natural beauty from her childhood and loves being outdoors whenever possible.
