Meet Dana Nichols, a litigation attorney at Daniel Stark.
Dana grew up in the small town of Atlanta, located in Northeast Texas. With a population of just over 5,000, Dana’s childhood revolved around exploring the great outdoors, running through rolling hills, and spending time in nature. An avid animal lover, she relished activities like fishing and hiking. Dana’s love for animals and her affinity for the outdoors continue to shape her life today.
Dana’s educational path was deeply influenced by her family’s legacy at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. With her grandparents, mother, and father all being alumni, attending Baylor had always been a dream. She achieved that goal, earning an undergraduate degree in 2009 and continuing to graduate from Baylor Law School in 2012. During her time there, she was a cheerleader for the university as part of the co-ed traveling team, all while navigating the then-quaint Waco before it became the bustling cultural hub it is today.
Following her graduation from Baylor Law School, Dana began her law career in Dallas, Texas, in 2012. She initially worked at a civil litigation firm that focused heavily on defense work. However, she found her passion in plaintiff’s personal injury law after collaborating on cases with a plaintiffs’ attorney at the firm. Dana soon transitioned to working exclusively in personal injury law, where her empathetic nature and confident advocacy helped many clients through challenging circumstances.
Dana joined Daniel Stark in 2024, bringing her wealth of legal expertise and empathetic approach to her new role as a litigation attorney. Drawn to the firm’s mission and commitment to its clients, Dana saw the position as a perfect way to channel her legal knowledge and exceptional client-focused skills. Through her work at DS, she continues to help others with passion, precision, and dedication.
One of Dana’s favorite aspects of working at Daniel Stark is the close connection she gets to build with clients. She values the opportunity to truly understand their stories, provide empathetic guidance, and help solve problems that make a real difference in their lives.
Outside of her professional life, Dana embraces her love for the outdoors whenever possible. As a new mom, she enjoys spending time hiking and playing outside as often as she can on her family ranch in Northeast Texas. When she’s not juggling the chaos of parenting or protecting her mischievous toddler from bumping into everything, Dana loves to compete in races and triathlons. She especially enjoys the half marathon distance. She competed in two races in 2023 while pregnant with her son, including the Sprint Triathlon National Championship race in Milwaukee. Recently, she tackled the Ironman 70.3 distance in Waco with her husband.
We are so thankful for what Dana adds to our team. Her dedication to our clients is inspiring.
