Meet Zirwa Sheikh, an attorney at Daniel Stark.
Zirwa was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States as a young child. Her family settled in Irving, a small city nestled between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up in a close-knit, lower-middle-income household, Zirwa enjoyed a childhood rich in learning and meaningful experiences.
An exceptionally driven student, Zirwa pursued her undergraduate education at Texas A&M University, graduating with honors in just three years, between 2011 and 2014. Initially considering political science, her passion shifted to psychology as she cultivated a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and advocacy. Afterward, Zirwa attended Texas Tech University School of Law, where she juggled rigorous academics with hands-on experiences as a clerk and extern. Despite the highly competitive atmosphere, she successfully obtained her law degree in 2017 while participating in mentorship programs supporting lower-income and first-generation students.
After law school, Zirwa began her legal career in insurance defense, gaining valuable experience in personal injury law. Over the span of seven years, she honed her skills in strategizing cases, evaluating their value, and navigating complex legal logistics. However, throughout this period, her true calling for advocacy pushed her to switch sides. Today, Zirwa is a compassionate legal advocate who fights for injured individuals, particularly for those in marginalized or underserved communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights protected.
Zirwa joined Daniel Stark in April 2022, drawn by the firm’s strong emphasis on culture and its mission to genuinely care for its team and clients. Her good friend and law school peer had spoken highly of the firm’s work environment. Zirwa was further compelled by Daniel Stark’s unique culture of collaboration, empathy, and enthusiasm for justice. She cherishes being part of a team that prioritizes people, values advocacy, and treats everyone with respect—a striking contrast to her previous professional experiences.
Outside the office, Zirwa’s passion for advocacy extends to her love for animals, particularly dogs. She uses her legal expertise to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, combining her career with her devotion to animal welfare. Whether she’s fostering rescue animals, supporting nonprofit organizations, or simply spending time with her furry companions, Zirwa brings the same dedication and care to her personal life as she does to her legal practice.
