Meet Chris Diamond, a litigation attorney at Daniel Stark.

Chris grew up in Bryan, Texas, where he remembers a simpler time when Pizza Hut was the place to go for a nice dinner. When he was younger, he had an array of interests from baseball to playing guitar. As he got older, he was deeply involved in music and photography.

During high school, he had the unique opportunity to photograph Texas A&M football games on the sideline, and his football photographs were purchased by the Bryan Eagle. He even worked as a videographer for a local TV station. He has always been a reader and a writer, unafraid of public speaking, which naturally led him to pursue a career in law.

Attending Texas A&M University as an undergraduate, Chris majored in political science. In the sixth grade, he was inspired to become a lawyer by a local attorney he admired, who invited him to his firm and even took him to court. This exposure, along with his participation in a youth court program – helping juveniles opt out of the formal justice system and be tried by their peers – cemented his desire to enter the legal profession.

Chris went on to study at South Texas College of Law. He worked 40 hours a week during law school and graduated with honors in December 1994. His academic background laid a solid foundation for his flourishing legal career. He spent nearly three decades in the personal injury field, primarily focused on defense work for insurance companies. However, in May of 2024, Chris made a complete career shift by joining Daniel Stark.

His decision was influenced by his positive past interactions with Daniel Stark attorneys and his desire to return to his roots in Bryan. At Daniel Stark, Chris found a supportive culture that contrasted with the “lone ranger” atmosphere he had previously experienced and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where team effort is encouraged.

He is excited about his role at DS because it allows him to build meaningful relationships with clients. Unlike his previous work, where he defended those with insurance coverage, his current position allows him to help individuals experiencing a dark time, making a true difference in their lives.

Among the many authority figures throughout his life, Chris attributes one of his greatest influences to his uncle, a Texas politician throughout the 80s and 90s. He admires his uncle’s ability to remain honest and respectable in such a high-profile career. Through him, Chris learned to remain true to his character and values.

Chris is a dedicated family man, so when he isn’t defending clients, he enjoys walking his dog, Bella, coaching baseball, and teaching his daughter to play the guitar. They even attended open mic nights where his daughter performed her original music. Though his schedule is packed, Chris finds immense pride and joy in his children’s accomplishments.

When he manages to find some free time, he continues working on his novel and he collects and restores vintage typewriters. Though it is sometimes difficult to keep up with, he tries to follow Astros baseball and the Texas A&M Aggie football team.

Chris, we appreciate the unique perspective you offer to the firm and our clients. We are excited to have you and the invaluable knowledge you bring.
