Meet Dennis Moore, an attorney at Daniel Stark.
Born and raised in the quaint town of Goliad, Texas, Dennis’s upbringing was steeped in small-town values and the principles of hard work and responsibility. With just 5,000 people, Goliad offered a close-knit community where Dennis learned the value of labor on his family’s farm, tending to cows, chickens, and pigs.
Growing up with his grandparents, Dennis’s childhood summers were filled with friends and outdoor activities. His home became a gathering place for neighborhood kids, where makeshift tree houses and dirt basketball courts became the backdrop of countless memories. The spirit of competition was a constant, with games of basketball, football, and baseball shaping his early years.
Dennis’s academic pursuits began at Faulkner University in Alabama while serving six years in the United States Air Force. The military provided him the unique opportunity to attend school full-time, earning a degree in business administration. Upon completing his service, Dennis faced a crossroads. Initially drawn to the world of investment banking, an encounter with a fellow military member sparked a new vision—law school.
Dennis attended Texas Tech School of Law, where he tackled the challenging yet rewarding education that would shape his professional life. Though the first semester was daunting, Dennis’s tenacity saw him through, particularly excelling in trial advocacy classes. Here, he discovered a passion for litigation that would guide his future career.
After graduating in 2004, Dennis embarked on a diverse legal career, gaining experience in both defense and plaintiff’s work. His early years were spent in bankruptcy law, but he quickly realized his interest leaned heavily toward litigation. He practiced many different forms of law, including construction litigation and commercial trucking cases, each experience sharpening his legal skills.
Professionally and personally motivated, Dennis transitioned back to plaintiff’s work, driven by a desire to effect meaningful change and directly impact lives. His approach to law is deeply influenced by his grandparents, who instilled in him the values of hard work, loyalty, and the importance of community service.
Dennis’s personal life mirrors his professional one, marked by a dedication to family. Proud father to six children, ranging from 10 to 27 years old, he finds joy in coaching their sports teams, fostering not only athletic skills but character and resilience.
If Dennis hadn’t pursued law, he’d likely be found on a football field, coaching—another testament to his love for mentorship and leadership.
