Meet Justin Jackson, an attorney at Daniel Stark.
Growing up in the serene, river town of San Marcos, Texas, Justin’s childhood was marked by simple pleasures and deep-rooted connections. The idyllic environment of this sleepy town offered a perfect backdrop for childhood adventures like walking to the river with friends, swimming, and fishing. It was an ideal setting that shaped his early years and planted the seeds for a life dedicated to community and connection.
Justin attended San Marcos High, where he balanced academics with a passion for sports, particularly football and soccer. These activities not only fueled his competitive spirit but also instilled in him the values of teamwork and perseverance—traits that would follow him through life.
After high school, Justin pursued higher education at Texas State University, followed by obtaining his juris doctorate degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.
Upon returning to San Marcos after law school, Justin got started in the legal field by working with a small-town lawyer who took on a variety of cases. It was an eye-opening experience that quickly taught him which areas of law he was least interested in and, importantly, introduced him to the world of personal injury law. Intrigued by the complexities and the potential to make a real impact, Justin dove deeper into personal injury law at a firm in west Texas.
His time in Midland/Odessa was crucial. Not only was it a hub for personal injury cases due to the bustling oil business and high-speed traffic roads, but it also offered Justin the chance to learn from seasoned professionals. Despite the opportunities, he knew it wasn’t home, and eventually, he returned to civilization as he fondly puts it.
In 2017, an unexpected recommendation led him to Daniel Stark, where he found a workplace that resonated with his values. Known for its camaraderie and dynamic environment, DS was a place where Justin could thrive alongside supportive colleagues who genuinely enjoyed their work. It is here that Justin’s love for problem-solving and helping clients unravel complex legal issues truly flourished.
One client story that stands out involves a deaf couple who endured a severe car accident. Navigating the legal world without the ability to hear posed significant challenges, yet Justin’s empathetic approach and problem-solving skills ensured they received the justice they deserved. This experience not only humbled him but reinforced the importance of perspective and resilience.
Outside the courtroom, Justin has built a fulfilling life grounded in family, adventure, and shared passions. His greatest pride is the loving family he has built, spending weekends by the pool, exploring breweries and wineries, or enjoying sun-soaked days at the beach.
A man of diverse interests, if money were no object, Justin would indulge his passion for food and travel by creating a blog that explores the culinary offerings of restaurants across the United States—an “Anthony Bourdain-style” adventure, as he puts it.
Undoubtedly, the most significant influence in Justin’s life has been his wife, whose unwavering support has been pivotal in both his personal and professional growth. Her embodiment of the “work hard, play hard” core value is something Justin carries into every aspect of his life.
