Meet Michael Cupero, a hybrid attorney and Team Lead at Daniel Stark.
Michael was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. Growing up, Michael found joy in sports, particularly soccer and baseball, which not only kept him active but also instilled in him the values of teamwork and perseverance. Although Beaumont was home, Michael always knew he wanted to explore beyond its borders, setting the stage for his academic and professional adventures.
Driven by a desire for new experiences, Michael left Texas to attend the University of Notre Dame. There, he pursued a dual major in English and Spanish. His love for English came naturally, while his Spanish studies evolved unexpectedly, leading to study abroad opportunities in Spain. Though not as strong as his English, Michael’s Spanish skills connect him with family.
After Notre Dame, Michael returned to Texas for law school at Baylor Law School. Known for its rigorous curriculum, Baylor offered Michael a focused environment where he thrived. He cherished the practical experience gained through advocacy exercises and mock trials.
Michael’s entry into the legal profession began at Zinda Law Group in Austin, where he honed his skills in personal injury law. However, his desire for more trial experience led him to seek new opportunities. Joining Daniel Stark allowed him to gain the courtroom exposure he craved, participating in numerous trials within just two years.
At DS, Michael found more than just professional growth. He values the relationships built with clients, appreciating their trust and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives. It’s this connection that fuels Michael’s passion for his work every day.
Outside the courtroom, Michael remains an avid soccer player, frequently participating in recreational leagues. This passion for sports is paralleled by his love for exploring Austin’s vibrant food scene, often indulging in sweet treats from local favorites!
Had Michael not pursued a legal career, he imagines a life intertwined with storytelling, perhaps as a writer or journalist. His love for language and narrative continues to influence his legal practice, where he crafts compelling arguments and narratives for his clients.
