Meet Zachary Tritico, a pre-litigation attorney at Daniel Stark.
Zachary was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Beaumont, a city famously referred to as the “plaintiff attorney capital of the world.” Surrounded by the Gulf Coast’s charm, Zachary’s childhood was a blend of outdoor adventures at his family’s beach cabin in Louisiana and their ranch in Woodville, Texas. Whether it was enjoying summers at Crystal Beach with friends or spending quiet weekends at Johnson’s Bayou, Zachary developed an appreciation for both nature and close-knit communities.
Sports played a defining role in Zachary’s early years, with him enthusiastically participating in golf, soccer, basketball, and baseball. Though he dabbled in hunting and fishing, Zachary humbly admits he wouldn’t call himself an outdoorsman. Despite his adventurous spirit, his heart often led him back home to family traditions and Texas values.
Zachary’s academic path began in Beaumont, and after high school, he followed his family’s deep roots to New Orleans to attend Tulane University from 2001 to 2005. Graduating just months before the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Zachary fondly remembers the culturally rich, pre-Katrina New Orleans, which he refers to as a second home. At Tulane, Zachary pursued a Bachelor of Science in Management, initially considering a career in international banking. However, a combination of familial influence and his innate interest in the law led him to pivot and pursue a legal education.
From there, Zachary attended law school at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where he laid the foundation for his legal career.
Post law school, Zachary spent 10 years practicing law in South Florida, gaining extensive experience in personal injury, bankruptcy, and foreclosure cases. His early roles had him handling hundreds of cases in bustling Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and beyond, which not only sharpened his legal expertise but also taught him the importance of client connection and responsiveness.
Despite the sunny, vibrant life in Florida, Zachary felt the pull of home, family, and the seasons of Texas. After securing his Texas law license in 2015, he moved back to Austin to help run his family’s business and start his own law firm.
Zachary joined Daniel Stark in 2016, describing it as a natural and exciting opportunity during a pivotal chapter of his life. Initially hired as a New Client Team Attorney, he quickly rose through the ranks, later serving as a hybrid attorney and then as an Attorney Team Captain before settling into his current role as a pre-litigation attorney. He recalls joining the firm when it had just 12 attorneys and around 40 employees, marveling at its growth and evolution since then.
Zachary appreciates Daniel Stark’s client-centric approach and the leadership’s genuine care for its employees. He values the focus on building personal relationships within the team, fostering positivity, and ensuring clients feel heard and supported. It’s a far cry from the high-stress environments he encountered earlier in his career, and he’s proud to be part of a firm that prioritizes people over numbers.
Outside the legal world, Zachary is a man of many passions. He’s an avid gamer, with a love for video games like Overwatch, strategy simulators like Civilization and Total War, and city-building challenges like SimCity and Cities Skylines. He’s also a fan of Magic the Gathering, a hobby he shares with his beloved wife, Tammy.
His weekends are often spent playing tennis or golf, exploring Austin’s vibrant food scene, or unwinding at his family’s ranch in East Texas with his beloved silver lab, Zelda. A history enthusiast, Zachary dives deep into Roman, Greek, and European revolutionary history through podcasts and books.
Travel is another cherished part of Zachary’s life; he’s been fortunate to visit France, Italy, and Switzerland, with many more destinations on his bucket list. But Zachary is equally a homebody at heart, reveling in the simplicity of time spent with his family, including his wife Tammy, whom he describes as his greatest partner in life’s adventures.
With a love for competition, whether in sports, gaming, or litigation, Zachary brings passion and focus to every aspect of his work and life. Above all, he’s proud to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a probate attorney, and to make a meaningful impact in both his profession and his community.
We are proud to have Zachary on our team. His passionate personality and unique skills make him an invaluable advocate for our clients.
