It’s that time of year again. Warmer weather is just around the corner and many of the students who live and attend school around Bryan and College Station are out for the spring break holiday. While this time of year is full of fun activities and gatherings, the Texas car accident attorneys with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers would to remind spring breakers of the dangers drunk driving can pose.
Spring break in Texas is notorious for an increase in the number of drunk driving accidents and arrests. To help combat the problem, the Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) will increase patrols from March 7 to March 22 in an effort to keep drunk drivers off the road.
The program has been lauded as a success in the past, with 1.389 drinking and driving arrests, as well as 18,886 speeding citations and 3.343 seat belt and child safety seat tickets.
At Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, we’ve seen the harm drunk driving can cause. That’s why our College Station personal injury lawyers would like to encourage spring breakers to call a cab or loved one to get home safely after drinking. KBTX News is offering several other tips to help you travel safe during spring break.
