According to an article from The Mercury, the victim of the latest accident died on November 18 after he fell through a hole at the site and plummeted roughly 20 feet to his death. In an effort to raise awareness about the conditions construction workers face each day, a large number of the victim’s co-workers, friends, and family gathered at the site to hold a vigil in remembrance of their loved one. A letter was then delivered to management of the construction site demanding better safety standards to protect workers.
