AUSTIN, Texas –– Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers is proud to partner with Allie’s Way in raising awareness for Distracted Driving Awareness Month. With the support of KVUE, Ally Medical, Round Rock Hyundai, and Genesis of Round Rock, this initiative aims to educate the community on the dangers of distracted driving and promote safer road habits.
Founded by Jamie White, Allie’s Way was established in memory of her 2-year-old daughter, who was tragically killed by a distracted driver. In Allie’s honor, Jamie White collaborates with organizations across Texas to expose the dangers of distracted driving and advocate for safer roads throughout the state.
“Distracted driving hurts families. It takes so many people away from us way too early for things that can be easily changed,” said Zachary Tritico, Jamie’s attorney at Daniel Stark. “That may be the best thing we’ve been able to do to help the White family. Not by seeking justice in a courtroom, but by helping promote their message.”
Jamie is rallying support for the Allie’s Way Act, Senate Bill 47. The community can help by signing the petition here. This legislation aims to prohibit drivers from holding cell phones while driving. Drivers are still permitted to use voice commands for texting or making calls. According to AAA, states implementing similar laws have witnessed a significant reduction in distracted driving collisions, with over 40% fewer incidents.
“As proud members of the Round Rock community, our stores and more than 100 employees stand united behind this cause,” said Michael Williams, general manager of Round Rock Hyundai and Genesis of Round Rock. “We are committed to raising awareness to prevent such tragedies, so no family endures this loss again. It’s an honor to support Allie and her family.”
With over 250 lives tragically lost due to distracted driving crashes in 2024, these partnerships seek to emphasize and publicize the urgent need for change and heightened public awareness.
Distracted driving remains one of the leading causes of car accidents, often resulting in devastating injuries and loss of life. Accident attorneys and safety advocates stress the importance of stricter laws and public awareness campaigns to reduce these preventable tragedies. By supporting initiatives like Allie’s Way, communities can help drive meaningful change and promote safer roads for everyone.
“Our community can help by driving distraction-free, sharing Allie’s story, and supporting local events,” said Madeline Newlands, community outreach coordinator at Ally Medical. “Raise awareness, spread the word, and advocate for stronger road safety laws.”
Many crashes caused by distracted driving could be avoided with simple changes in behavior, such as putting phones away and staying focused on the road. Daniel Stark’s lawyers, along with Allie’s Way, continue to push for stronger enforcement of hands-free laws, emphasizing that even a moment of distraction can have life-altering consequences. Raising awareness and advocating for safer driving habits can help prevent future tragedies.
Allie’s Way, Daniel Stark, Ally Medical, and Genesis of Round Rock are committed to spreading the message that distracted driving is deadly and preventable, urging all Texans to adopt safer driving practices.
